Design Engineer - Hauppauge, NY

Job Title: Design Engineer

Location: Hauppauge, NY

The Design Engineer candidate will require expertise in designing Retail Fixtures, Trade Show booths or Point of Purchase Displays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design experience with retail fixtures, trade show booths and/or point of purchase displays.
  • Proficient in Solid Works, experience with AutoCad, Inventor, and Illustrator would be beneficial.
  • Works closely with account managers, sales executives and production staff.
  • Maintains product and company reputation by remaining consistent with company guidelines.
  • Completes projects in a timely fashion and ability to meet company deadlines.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications.

Account Manager – Richmond, VA / Portland, OR / Hauppauge,NY

Job Title: Account Manager

Location: Richmond, VA / Portland, OR / Hauppauge, NY

The Account Manager will provide customer service to new and existing business. This position will oversee all of the service functions from RFQs to ongoing account maintenance and work closely with Sales Managers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop cooperative working relations with Sales Managers that results in seamless account coverage.
  • Address technical and service related questions.
  • Strong understanding of metal, wood and acrylic manufacturing processes a plus.
  • Perform timely follow up (and follow through) on inquiries made by customer and/or Sales Manager.
  • Measure customer satisfaction through regular customer communication.
  • Understanding of product rollouts, site specific requirement planning and accurate inventory control.
  • Ability to do product specific take-offs from customer supplied drawings (we will train as well).
  • Ability to analyze customer supplied information to determine needs.
  • Effective change management to allow for efficient and concise coordination of product requirements with all affected partners including customers, engineers, project managers, and internal departmental leads for changes and/or adjustments.
  • Awareness of internal needs to ensure schedules, quality, production and purchasing are on time and expedite when necessary.
  • Outstanding communication skills with all customers (internal and external).
  • Take leadership role in all assignments, is able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Experience with vendor procurement processes.
  • Ability to determine needs and methods to allow for prototype, RFQ and design development requirements.
  • Understanding of product rollouts, site specific requirement planning and accurate inventory control.
  • Preparation of cost summaries and bill of material.
  • Provide professional/timely responses to prospect inquiries.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • 2 -3 years of sales support experience.
  • Display proven ability to work well in a group or independently.
  • Present excellent phone and verbal skills.
  • Strong account management experience.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skill and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent skills with M.S. office suite and proficient in Excel.

Premier Fixtures, a leading manufacturer and importer of store fixtures, has an immediate opening for an EXPERIENCED Project Manager for our Richmond, Virginia offices.  This position is responsible for complete product, program and/or project specifics for given customers within the company.  These responsibilities will be varied and will include; product and site specific requirement planning, analysis and interpretation of architectural drawing, shop drawings, product and material specifications, and preparation of cost summaries and bill of material.

Position Summary:
The Vice President, Operations will be responsible for the strategic development and management of all operations for Premier Fixtures, including Manufacturing, Quality control, Manufacturing Engineering, materials management. The individual in this position will need to drive change management, effectively communicate throughout the organization and collaborate with the leadership team to achieve target performance. The VP is responsible for leading the lean manufacturing plan and events to drive significant improvement in the processes of the overall business systems. The Vice President, Operations will provide a comprehensive vision and organizational leadership to meet & exceed customer expectations, minimize costs, and maintain the high quality of Premier Fixtures products. This position will report to the COO based of Richmond Va.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

This position will be responsible for driving Operational Excellence results, to include: Problem-solving, teamwork, and ongoing process improvement across the organization. This will involve focusing on the customers' needs, keeping our employees positive and empowered, and continually improving the current activities in the workplace.

  • Establishes strategies, determines priorities, project goals and assess results by working with plant leadership.
  • Improves baseline performance relative to cost, quality, cycle time and customer satisfaction by delivering business results through enabling our business Team.
  • Establishes and monitors an effective continuous improvement project list to ensure we deliver our commitments.
  • Coordinates drives, leads and executes improvement projects and initiatives by meeting/exceeding business needs.
  • Identifies and eliminates process waste by continually driving a cultural shift in the organization with sustainable results.
  • Manages tracks and executes the cost improvement program for the assigned sites. Must ensure savings targets are achieved, to do this must evaluate gaps and identify solutions.
  • Understands customer requirements and translate these into actions for quality and process improvement by interacting with customers and teams.
  • Provide leadership to management within Production, Production & Inventory Management, Supply Chain, and Customer Service- prioritize goals, provide guidance, and create cohesive working relationships company-wide
  • Plan and execute strategies to enhance profitability, productivity and efficiency throughout the company’s operational infrastructure to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Evolve and execute multi-year strategic operational plan, while cohesively driving this plan throughout the business
  • Create and execute production plans that optimize lead-time and expedite Fixtures through operations in an accurate and cost-effective manner
  • Partner with Project Management and other key internal partners to determine delivery timelines for Program launches, develop action plans and ensure commitments are fulfilled to support rapid growth and maximize target market penetration
  • Develop plans to control budget spending, labor efficiency, customer service and order processing performance
  • Focus on the lean tools and metrics that maximize capacity and resource utilization, shorten lead-time, improve quality and inventory levels

Education and/or Experience Required:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in business related field
  • Minimum of 12 years’ experience working in Operations/Supply Chain, developing plans to reduce operating expenses and meeting KPI’s in a fast-paced, high-growth company, with at least 10 years’ senior leadership experience managing teams and driving strategy and execution.
  • Ability to develop and manage resources by creating budgets, developing management control systems and monitoring operational spending
  • Ability to successfully communicate with and engage cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge with Material Requirements Planning/ Enterprise Resource Planning (MRP/ERP) systems
  • Proven leadership skills to hire, develop and retain top talent within Operations
  • Track record of improving lead times, quality and deliverables

  • Coordinate WIP through the final assembly process.
  • Confirm finished goods are moved to the warehouse.

Education and/or Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Ability to successfully communicate with and engage cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge with Enterprise Resource Planning (MRP/ERP) systems.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects.
  • Track record of improving lead times, quality and deliverables.
